The eagerly anticipated return of Succession has had many discerning gents talking. A sleeper hit of 2018 with two seasons, the drama had audiences hooked and wanting more, only for a global pandemic to lengthen the wait for the new third season considerably longer. HBO has a knack for producing addictive TV content and in Succession, it had another hit. So, where does Season Three take the viewer? Let\u2019s find out (spoiler alerts for previous seasons included \u2013 you have been warned).<\/p>\n

Succession focuses on the Roy family, headed up by media mogul and Waystar empire owner, Logan Roy \u2013 played by the brilliant Brian Cox. Logan\u2019s aging makes finding a successor to his media throne a priority. Kendall \u2013 played by Jeremy Strong \u2013 is the leading candidate but its closely contested amongst his siblings which include Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), Conor (Alan Ruck) and Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun). They all want Logan\u2019s throne for their own and will stop at nothing in order to secure it.<\/p>\n

Season two left on a bombshell. Kendall came through a season of reflection and questioning what he really wants along with his desire to remain loyal to his father. The season finale saw Kendall about to take the fall for a serious misdemeanour within the Waystar business, this was going to be retribution for Kendall, a favour to his father and most certain career suicide. Kendall though, had other ideas, instead coming clean about crimes and pointing the finger of blame solely at Logan. Perhaps this was the best way to oust Logan from the business and take the crown?<\/p>\n

Thus, season three will tell the story we\u2019re all so keen to uncover. The covid pandemic has been long and entertainment like this only comes around ever so often. We\u2019ve had to wait much longer than anyone anticipated to find out more of the quirky yet cut-throat Roy family.<\/p>\n
