This is no ordinary whisky; let us get that clear up front. Dubbed the \u2018holy grail\u2019 of spirits, This is an extremely rare Scotch whisky made in 1926 and stored in a vat for 60 years before being bottled in 1986. Macallan commissioned Peter Blake and Valerio Adami to design labels for very limited editions, to offer as corporate gifts to the distillery’s most valued customers. Only 24 bottles \u201312 of the Blake label and 12 of the Adami label \u2013 were ever produced, but no one actually knows how many remain.<\/p>\n

This whisky is so special; the bottle itself is housed in its very own specially commissioned cabinet \u2013 or tantalus, based on the traditional ‘Brass and Glass’ distillery spirit safe if you may. Therefore, it is a drinks cabinet within a drinks cabinet if you like.<\/p>\n
