Anniversary celebrations should be grand affairs by default. But what do you do if the anniversary in question is honouring the first known batch of whisky ever and is gearing up to celebrate its 550th year since being produced? Occasions of such magnitude need to ‘go big’ in scale. Well it just so happens that The Park Tower Knightsbridge<\/a><\/span> hotel is holding a three week celebration of the first known batch of whisky ever produced. This landmark moment sees The Hyde Bar transform into a three week extravaganza of male lifestyle an refinery, working with Chivas Regal<\/a><\/span> whisky and more partners to bring the Chivas Regal Gentlemen’s Lounge to life from now until 21st June 2015.<\/p>\n

Throughout the next three weeks there will be a programme of exclusive experiences for guests to enjoy – all to encapsulate the spirit of the quintessential British gentlemen’s club. The discerning gent needs a place to relax and unwind – this is one of life’s necessities.<\/p>\n

During the three weeks enjoy a high gloss polish from London Shoe Shine<\/a><\/span> who are on hand every Tuesday evening – 2nd, 9th and 16th June – to offer a complementary shoe shine from 6pm to 9pm. The fun doesn’t stop there though – every evening from 6pm – 7pm, the Gentlemen’s Lounge will be serving a selection of handcrafted whisky sour cocktails for ‘Sour Hour’. Cocktails will be complimented with a special menu created by Pascal Proyart, Executive Head Chef at the hotel, which includes mouth watering highlights such as duck and pistachio pie, venison scotch quail eggs and edible cigars filled with coffee mousse.<\/p>\n

Discerning drinkers after a good whisky can enjoy the Chivas Regal 12, 18 or 25 year olds blends – and if you get the timings of your visit right – partake in a unique Art of Blending whisky course from Chivas Regal. Of course a gentlemen’s club would not be complete without a cigar – the Havana Cigar Exchange<\/a><\/span> is on hand to offer a fine selections of cigars from the humidor located on the bar.<\/p>\n
