Movie Mondays<\/strong> continues and this week we have a real treat – the third installment of the Batman series – The Dark Knight Rises.<\/p>\n

If you have seen the previous two movies you know Nolan has done an amazing job revamping the genre and by the looks of the latest trailer this is set to continue.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.<\/p>\n

Director Nolan, introduced the six-minute preview to members of the press at the screening in Los Angeles and said he wanted to ‘start with a bit of a bang’.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Critics who watched the clip have been raving about the footage but made clear that they couldn\u2019t understand what Bane (Tom Hardy) was saying.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Elysium Magazine got to preview the Dark Knight Rises prologue and it is clear that the sequence was grand in scope, expanding the Batman world outside of Gotham City, and it was filled with a lot of tension and dread. The impact was strong, not only from the images on screen but from the score, which was reminiscent of Nolan’s The Dark Knight and Inception. We were excited and wanted more!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Avengers was a great movie and kept you entertained throughout. However, The Dark Knight Rises is much more than the Avengers – the dark plot and talk of terrorists gangs attacking a city hits home much more than aliens and gods.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Despite the early criticism we believe the movie will be another triumph for Nolan, the release is due this summer and we have no doubt its going to be great. Check out the trailer below and tells us what you think – with only a few months to go, and the release to\u00a0 be over the Olympic period, the cinemas are bound to be busy.<\/p>\n
