This isn\u2019t merely the spiciest cocktail ever made, but when tested by Warwick University, it came in at 676,979 Scoville Heat Units, making it the spiciest commercially available drink ever \u2013 more than 270 times hotter than Tabasco sauce and over 20 times as hot as your standard Vindaloo!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Brick Lane Burner\u2019 which is launched this week and created by mixologist Ben Manchester,\u00a0 is available from the main bar for \u00a315.50 as part of a new, spice themed cocktail range.\u00a0 It requires brave punters to don a pair of goggles and sign a medical disclaimer before being allowed to drink it. Thoughtfully, Vibe will also provide a complimentary Mango Lassi cooler to anyone daring enough to try it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7102\/7210171618_6dfac81339_n_d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"184\" \/>Made with ingredients sourced from Peter Seymour, chilli horticulturalist and owner of Brighton based retailer &#8211; Chilli Pepper Pete, the drink uses 12,000,000 SHU \u2018Killer, Killer\u2019 extract which is more than eight times hotter than the hottest chilli in the world. It\u2019s so potent that those who handle it must wear protective gloves.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is then added to bourbon, ginger ale &amp; lime, mixed over ice and decorated with various chillies, including a &#8216;Ghost Pepper&#8217; Bhut Jolokia Chilli, which can reach up to 1,001,304 SHU. The heat is such that drinking three of these would be similar to being hit in the face with weapons grade pepper spray.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lee Dicker, co-founder of the Vibe Bar said \u201cBrick Lane has always been known as the home of hot food in London and in the year that the world\u2019s eyes are on us we wanted to celebrate that. We\u2019ve made sure that even if you don\u2019t want to go for a meal, you can still have the Brick Lane experience here at Vibe Bar.
